The End

It’s over, friends ❤

I wanted to say a big thank you to  everyone who’s read and loved my rainbow babies. I’m not putting anywhere near the effort into these blogs that I put into my books, and that you’ve enjoyed it anyway means a lot ❤

I have a feeling some of you will finish Poppy’s story thinking “Hang on, that can’t be it! There’s obviously more in her future!” and you’re right, there is. But it’s a completely different story to the one I just finished, and Berry knows if I had the time or the energy to start that and write another twenty chapters, I wouldn’t have capped this rainbowcy at eight generations.

If you have any other questions, please ask away ❤ This rainbowcy has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be around! I still have my other blogs, so I’ll still log in and I will see your comments, if you choose to leave any.

If you want more to read, feel free to check out my other blogs:

In Another Life is a story about a family who’s not allowed to fall in love and has to save the future, and Starbound is a story about various generations trying to find themselves and happiness. Neither are rainbowcies, both are Going Solo challenges. Both were on a break while I finished this story right here, but I will return to them now ❤ Or, if you’d rather, you’re welcome to check out this blogsite, where I take my writing a smidgen more seriously than I ever did here.

Thank you, friends and rainbows. You’ve been wonderful ❤

  1. I remember first being introduced to your rainbowcy way back in 2013. I had stumbled upon your thread in the Gift Gathering forums asking for colorful Sims and lots, and I was intrigued. I submitted a Sim and a playground, and then I went to explore your rainbowcy in earnest and learn more about what it was.

What followed was nothing short of an adventure. From getting to know your different heiresses (and Seance 😉 ) over the generations, to voting for new generation heirs and colors, to following your move from Blogspot to WordPress, it’s been an absolutely fantastic journey.

I don’t know if I can put into words how much I love this. Yours was my first rainbowcy, and it was really the introduction to a wonderfully colorful world within the Sims community I never knew existed. It brought a whole other dimension to my style of gameplay, and inspired a wave of creativity I had been missing with the Sims 3. And if I ever get any stories out of my head and onto virtual paper (:P), it will have inspired those too.

Thank you for all your effort, and for having me along for the ride 🙂 I’m so happy I could follow Whispers through to the end. It’s been an absolute pleasure to read 🙂

    1. Goodness, that seems so long ago now ❤ Thank you for sticking with me for so long, Pixie ❤

I'm thrilled to hear I've inspired you, and hearing how much you love my little story means a lot ❤ I never intended for these blogs to grow as much as they have, and the writer in me is ecstatic with your praise.

It's been a pleasure having you come along, Pixie. I'll miss seeing your comments pop up here and there ❤

  2. Aww, it’s really over =( I liked your Rainbowcy a lot, Mischief. Even though you say you didn’t take the writing of this blog too seriously, I still massively enjoyed its stories! I think out of all the generations, I enjoyed Cari’s story the most. You’re a very good writer and it will be sad to see Whispers go. Here’s to even better ideas to replace it in the future! =)

P.S. How does it feel to have a real, definitive ending? Mine is all planned out as well, but it will be quite a while before I get there, and seeing Whispers come to a conclusion makes me wonder what it’s like. 0.o

    1. I know 😦 Thank you, yimiki, I’m so happy you enjoyed it ❤ I liked Cari's story a lot, too, because at the time I felt like I was being more daring with her plot than I'd been before. You're not the first person to tell me they enjoyed Cari's story the most, so I'm happy it worked 🙂

I don't think I'll start any new blogs any time soon, if ever, but if I do I'd love to have you along again ❤ I do have plenty of ideas, but I think I'll turn them all into books instead 😛

Honestly, it's nice to have a definitive ending. For many months now this blog was something I knew I should get around to but ultimately didn't have the time for, so it's nice to be done with it. It's one thing I won't have to worry about now, and that's quite freeing. I started Whispers at a time when I wasn't writing anything else, but with one book with beta readers now and another going through its first edit it's no longer a priority. Having said that, I also feel that I can relax more with these because it was never meant to be anything serious. I don't plot as meticulously and the editing that goes into these is the bare minimum. I look forward to returning to Starbound and In Another Life for that very reason 🙂

So I wish I could say that I'm sad it's over, and it does make me feel a little nostalgic, but mostly I'm relieved 😛

  3. I guess all good things come to an end but I’m really going to miss this family and their story. However I do know that you have some exciting projects that you are working on two other sim stories and of course your books. You did a great job with Whispers I loved Oracle’s story the MIA husband and I was so happy to see him come back as a vampire. The tears came to my eyes when Cari’s narration changed to Honey because at that point I knew she wasn’t getting out of it Thank you so much for writing such a wonderful story.
